Hany Farid, a professor of computer science at Dartmouth College, is developing a software tool to categorize photographs that have been altered by Photoshop using a 1-5 rating. See Farid’s examples of what the ratings would mean above. He hopes models will be empowered to use this technology and voice what level of retouching they feel comfortable with.
